Can you help with the best choice for our hotel for a middle aged couple? We will be traveling in early April. We like a comfortable, very clean and quiet hotel. Although French Quarter Inn seems to be the most popular , it doesn%26#39;t have a pool. How important is a pool at that time of year there? Charleston Place seems a bit pricey, but is it worth it? Has anybody been to both of these hotels?
Charleston Place or French Quarter Inn
Both are very nice hotels. The pool at Charleston Place (if memory serves me...) is enclosed and is up beside the spa area. You will need to decide if having access to a pool is important to you.
You might want to consider Mills House. The pool there is outdoors and it is a very nice hotel.
Charleston Place or French Quarter Inn
I have not stayed at either CP or FQI but agree that you would like the Mills House (I%26#39;ve stayed there).
About April and a pool...it is just starting to get warm in April and though it might be nice to sit out by the pool it will probably be too cold to swim, so a pool isn%26#39;t a top priority in April IMHO.
Of these two, we like French Quarter Inn. Our favorite, though, is Vendue Range or one of the B%26amp;Bs on the Battery. Enjoy your trip!
Thank you all for your valuable insights. They are most appreciated!
French Quarter Inn without a doubt.
