Restaurants that can handle 7 person group?

Hi,

Any suggestions for lunch or dinner restaurants in the Kiawah area and/or Charleston that can accommodate 7 adults with the caveats of entrees not above $20-25 and has some vegetarian options? Thanks!

At Bohicket Marina, adjacent Kiawah - Rosebank Farm Cafe can handle 7 at a table, and is within that price range.

At lunch you can get a ';blue plate special'; that is all vegetables; I am sure they would do similar at dinner as well. Is the vegetarian vegan? Some of the vegetable dishes may contain eggs or cheese, so be sure to inquire.

Do a search in the Charleston forum for ';vegetarian'; to turn up other options. Also post for ';vegetarian restaurants'; on the Charleston forum.

Mustard Seed on Maybank Highway has some ';veggie'; options.

What time of year are you visiting? If in the fall/winter (not summer), you shouldn%26#39;t have a problem getting seating.

Red Sky, located outside of Seabrook Island%26#39;s gate is suppose to re-open in September. It should have plenty of seating with the remodel.

I always recommend calling the restaurants to check:

1. if they are still open;

2. operating hours;

3. can they handle our group;-)

Most any restaurant can handle 7 people. I would just call ahead to let them know you have a group.

You might try Chez Fish, it%26#39;s close and we%26#39;ve seen groups bigger than 7 in there.

You might also call out to the Ocean Course and Turtle Point, either could easily handle 7.

Have fun!!!

thank you. trip is beginning of sept so looking forward to it!

Just wanted to give an update. We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at S.N.O.B. in Charleston where my mom said it was one of the best vegetarian meals she had had. The Smokehouse Brewery there also had good veg options. We ate at Hege%26#39;s at the Freshfields center which was good food for the most part albeit a little overpriced IMHO. We also enjoyed Chez Fish where the portions were quite plentiful. King St. Grille at Freshfields was typical bar food although the hamburgers were disappointing. Ladles was great for lunch at Freshfields. Good service everywhere. Most fun was shopping at Newton Farms and cooking dinner since the produce was so fresh. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Sounds like you ate well! Thanks for the report and for the suggestions.
