Public transportation on Isle of Palms/Wild Dunes

Is there public transportation in Wild Dunes? I will be splitting my trip between 2 different condos.

I will be coming down with some family and then staying when they leave. I will have a few hours between when they leave and my husband arrives.

I have requested early arrival for the new condo but no guarnatee that I will be able to do that.

So I need suggestions on what to do until my husband arrives and how to get there because I will have no transportation.

I don%26#39;t think so. The resort does have a bus or 2 but I think they are for activities only. I%26#39;d suggest you call the resort @ 888.778.1876 and ask. Which condos are you using?

The first few days I will be in Shipwatch and then the next week I will be in Mariner%26#39;s Walk.

How about taxi service?

Shipwatch and Mariner%26#39;s Walk are next to each other and there is a restaurant/snack bar in the Links clubhouse across the street (maybe 600 yards). You can probably get a cab from Mt. Pleasant but I%26#39;d think that would be pricey.

If I%26#39;m not mistaken, WD has its own shuttle van that goes throughout the resort. You could take it to Morgan%26#39;s Landing for a nice lunch. I know they had the shuttle while the beach was being renourished - I%26#39;d think they%26#39;d have something now.

If not, their restaurant is great and the beach is a nice place to hang out, look for shells, etc. If the timing works out, you might consider taking an ';ecotour'; that leaves from the Wild Dunes marina.

You might consider calling Carta (bus) and asking if they can pick you up at the gate for Wild Dunes and take you to Mt. Pleasant Towne Centre to kill some time. There is not a regular bus - you call and arrange a pick up (so it%26#39;s more like a large inexpensive cab!)
