I read reviews on TripAdvisor for Santa Fe Cafe, and it seems like a good place to eat, but the menu looks a bit pricey to me ($29 for fajitas?!!). Is it worth it? We ate at Fiesta Fresh last time we were there and LOVED it...Santa Fe Cafe is less casual, but I%26#39;m afraid I%26#39;ll be disappointed.
Santa Fe Cafe
Santa Fe Cafe has been one of our favorite Hilton Head restaurants for years, but it%26#39;s much more of a southwestern/eclectic restaurant (in our opinion) than a typical Mexican restaurant. It%26#39;s got lovely atmosphere, very good service, and is on a par with some of the nicest places on the island. We have never had a bad meal there, and have been going since long before they even advertised. It%26#39;s not a cheap meal, but I don%26#39;t think you will be at all disappointed.
Santa Fe Cafe
It is pricy, but no more so than any of the other finest restaurants on the island. (And I wouldn%26#39;t order fajitas there, you can get those anywhere.) It%26#39;s a local favorite and is always packed, and the food is terrific. If the weather is nice, ask to be seated upstairs outside:

I think it depends on your taste buds personally. I%26#39;m a huge fan of Tex-Mex, authentic Mexican, etc. Love full flavors and spices and spicy! I find this place to be a bit bland...so to me, not worth the price in MY opinion. Though, the older folks we tend to end up in HHI with on occassion (inlaws, etc) rave about it and call it one of their favorites... My father-in-law and my husband ordered the same dish, Outrageous Chimichanga, father-in-law loved it... husband was very disappointed. So, guess it depends on your tastebuds!
We ate here and loved it!
Hey - so glad to hear it !!!! We love the place and are happy when others agree.
