Condo Rental/New to Myrtle Beach Area
This website will be very invaluable to you in your quest for a rental. Myrtle Beach - Grand Strand encompasses a lot of area and so many locations to choose from. Most rental agencies are reputable and good to deal with, every now and then you find some that have some problems. You can also look at resorts directly. May has 2 bike weeks, you might want to read some threads about that. June is a nice month, not too hot, not as busy as July and 1st part of August.
Thanks, has anyone ever gone through their travel agent for rentals. Also do the condo/rentals come with linens and towels or do you have to bring those also. Proably going to be flying down and don%26#39;t want to have to bring all that stuff.
I would try a site such as vrbo or homeaway.com and look at some of the condos for rent by the actual owner. The consensus seems to be that you will get a better price and most of the time a better unit. You can see pictures of THE UNIT you will be getting and can ask for or read comments from previous guests who have stayed in that condo
I agree...try www.vrbo.com
Stick with the northern end of Myrtle Beach..55th ave and up to 77th Ave.
OR...most anywhere in North Myrtle Beach.
Good luck...you have lots of time to find a nice condo!
The Sandy Beach Resort has condo units in the new Palmetto tower. It%26#39;s a very nice property at 3rd Ave S and Ocean Blvd. Eveything is provided just like a hotel. Location is centrally located too so getting around is easy. We%26#39;ve been staying there for several years now and love it.
Oceans One is next door to the Sandy Beach and is similar in amenities and rooms. I don%26#39;t think you could go wrong with either place and there%26#39;s no bothering with a rental agency or VRBO transaction.

Guess I am not part of the consensus. I have had positive experiences w/ multiple realty companies when renting a condo in North Myrtle and also Garden City/Surfside.
We stayed at Crescent Shores in North Myrtle Beach over Labor day. We had a wonderful unit that we rented through Grand Strand Vacations. You can rent sheets, towels and other linens or bring your own. They do cost extra though. Everyone in their office was very friendly. We had a couple of minor issues when we arrived on saturday evening. They had someone in on Sunday who fixed the ones that could be fixed. (There was a ceiling fan/light in one room that didn%26#39;t work that the owner needs to replace.) Crescent Shores itself was very nice. Our kids loved the lazy river and having an ocean front balcony was pure heaven. Good luck finding a place to stay and hope you have a wonderful trip!
