Sorry, I hit ENTER too soon!
We are heading Charleston on Oct 29 for 8 days. We would like to see a bit a Savannah as well. We love to walk, so it sounds like both places are good for that. We also love the outdoors and are looking to get a day of kayaking in somewhere and maybe tour some wildlife sanctuaries. (Maybe 8 days isn%26#39;t enough!)
Any suggestions on how to split the trip up? Stay in one central location and drive? 1/2 in one and 1/2 in the other? The lodging isn%26#39;t as important as the location for us although we don%26#39;t want to stay in a real bad place.
Help to Customize our 8 days in Charleston/Savannah (more)Don%26#39;t have the time right now to help w/what all to do in Charleston, but for a wonderful kayak trip that will introduce you to the lowcountry, contact Ralph...

He takes no more than 6 guests and has spent most of his life in the Charleston area. Give him a call now and set something up with him.
We%26#39;ll be down there at the same time you are and will be paddling with him (we do every time we are down there).
Enjoy, weather should be a little cooler by then, we%26#39;re really looking forward to it.
Help to Customize our 8 days in Charleston/Savannah (more)I have been to both places and I would do 5 days Charleston, 3 days Savannah. I think there is more to do in Charleston and it would require more time. Both cities are lovely, but Charleston is my favorite!Mt Pleasant and the Battery area are lovely in Charleston. Not sure what to recommend for Savannah. Have fun!
