Halloween in Charleston

We are planning on visiting Charleston (our first trip here) from Octo. 31st through Nov, 3rd. Are there any interesting and unique activities that we shouldn%26#39;t miss. I read about a Halloween dinner at Circa and also a ghostly harbor cruise. Are these worth doing? Any suggestions are appreciated.

The gas-lit streets of the historic district, with ancient homes, churches, graveyards and gardens, are magical at any season. At Halloween, many of the homes will me beautifully (i.e. tastefully) decorated, thus adding to the scene. On Halloween Friday night you will see students from the College of Charleston out in creative, often elaborate, costumes.

Charleston%26#39;s evening ';ghost walks'; through the historic district are especially popular around Halloween. Quite a few companies do these walks. Here are two:

Thanks so much. It is my birthday and I love Halloween. Sounds like a perfect place to celebrate. Any ideas for dinner?

The problem with dinner in Charleston is that there are so many wonderful restaurants. Let us know your food preferences, budget, etc., so that we can advise you. Also, look at the reviews in the ';Charleston restaurants'; section.

Since Halloween is on a Friday evening, you will definitely want to make a reservation. You might want to do an early dinner, followed by a ghost walk.
