Dining help please...

Hey there,

We%26#39;ve been to the following restaurants and were wondering if anyone could offer us some other suggestions based on our tastes? Sorted based on preference鈥?/p>

Basil 鈥?perfect!

Fulton Five 鈥?loved the intimate dining room, food was pretty good

Cypress 鈥?very good, but expensive

Southend Brewery 鈥?good experience.

Charleston Cooks 鈥?fun time and decent food

Mellow Mushroom 鈥?OK for lunch, but not the place for an intimate evening.

Bubba Gump 鈥?not too impressed.

Thanks for the input!

Slightly North of Broad, High Cotton, Blossom, Magnolias (all on East Bay), The Boathouse at Breech Inlet (IOP), Station 22 (Sullivans). If you have a chance go to Poe%26#39;s on Sullivans Island. May be the best hamburger on the planet.

Hominy Grill - good for lunch

Mistral - good French food, live music, nice atmosphere, great prices

82 Queen - reliably lovely - I can%26#39;t imagine a nicer place at dusk or later with evening temps in the 70%26#39;s and lower humidity (sit outdoors)

Juanita Greenberg - lunch - great

Cru Cafe - nice lunch spot

Virginia%26#39;s on King - a little more like Hominy Grill

Fast and French - great for lunch

Coast - nice atmosphere, decent menu

39 Rue de Jean - nice menu, decent atmosphere

Circa 1886 - overall elegant restaurant with good food

Then there is a whole list of great, unique spots in Mt. Pleasant with good value, tasty food

Our favorites in downtown Charleston are SNOBS and a small italian restaurant called Garabaldi%26#39;s. Really good.
