what to wear for the season

We leave tomorrow for Myrtle Beach Airport and are staying in Murrells Inlet however I am unsure on the proper attire for the season. Here in PA we do not wear white shoes or shorts/pants after labor day, is this the same in SC? We normally travel to islands so it is not an issue, they do all year around.

I don%26#39;t think that you should worry about the ';no white after labor day'; concept at ANY of the SC beach areas. Although the rush of summer has past, the weather, and the calendar, say the season is still with us. The sun is strong, the trees are green, and the flowers are blooming.

When my daughter got married in SC in late October, I shopped for my m-o-b dress in Charleston rather than in New York. The dark colors in northeastern stores just did not fit the environment. One gent wore a white dinner jacket to the wedding, and a Navy man was in dress whites. They looked great!

Bring loose and comfortable clothes! It doesn%26#39;t matter whether you are wearing white clothes, shoes or even linen!

Right now, it seems that we are going through a major heat wave since the storm! Very humid and HOT. Even this morning at 9:00 it felt like the afternoon heat was already among us. Have fun and drinks lots of water!

Steeler we go every Sept to the same area you will be in and I think I can safely say just as long as you DO wear something you will be fine. Shorts lights whites whatever!

Hope y%26#39;all are having fun. Wear anything you like-we%26#39;re very casual here.
