charleston visit oct. 27-28 - forgot to ask about Sweetgrass

I asked what to see and do, but forgot to ask if the Best Western Sweetgrass is a good choice to stay, as it is very reasonable.

thanks. Karen

My only issue is with the location - it is in a very busy area, surrounded by parking lots and busy traffic - nothing ';pretty'; in the area. Not unique in any way. It may be worth the extra money to try something like... www.shemcreekinn.com - very unique - or look for a deal in the city. If you have a per-night number you%26#39;re trying to stay under, let us know and we can let you know if it%26#39;s possible.

Sweetgrass is well located for suburban conveniences. Bessinger%26#39;s Barbecue restaurant, a local favorite, is right down the road. The drive in and out of Charleston is easy. You are also within a 15 minute drive of the Ashley River plantations.

That said, I agree with CultureHound that there is nothing scenic or walkable in the immediate area of Sweetgrass. You will definitely need your car for any and all activities.
