My husband and I need to escape for a week the middle of Oct. He really wants to fish, shrimp and so on. We have a tracker boat but not sure if we should haul it that far and don%26#39;t know the water ways. I will do some research on that.
We have never been there before. All we need is a small place on the water. Beach side I guess. Any information would be greatly appreciated.I can always count of Forum. Thanks
Edisto beach: Where to stay? There are no hotels at Edisto. Most people that stay there either camp at the state park or rent a beach house. There are now some condos that some people rent. The state park camp area (there are some cabins in the woods, too) fills up fast so make reservations early.
I think (???) the condos are rented by Wyndam and one of the rental agents is Edisto Realty. There are probably others but that one I know does rentals but I do not know its reputation. You might try www.vrbo.com
Good luck and have fun! It is very relaxing!
Edisto beach: Where to stay? And do consider two other areas: Shem Creek is the Charleston-area shrimp mecca and Murrell%26#39;s Inlet is known as the ';Shrimp Capitol of SC'; (Murrells is about 70 min. north of Charleston)
To stay near Shem Creek, look at vrbo.com for Sullivan%26#39;s Island or Isle of Palms (or maybe there%26#39;s a place in Mt. P with a boat dock on vrbo)
Thank you for the suggestions. We have stayed at both places and love them. Just looking for something different. A new adventure.
Have you been to Beaufort? That%26#39;s where Forrest Gump had his shrimp boat. :) Very charming town as well - I think you%26#39;d really like it.
