HH vs. Folly Beach

How do the beaches compare? We are not big into shopping or nightlife and really are just interested in the beach. We are leaning toward Folly because they have a hotel on the beach that allows dogs. We don%26#39;t normally travel with the dog but this time have decided to. If anyone has been to both let me know how they compare.

I%26#39;m not going to be much help to you because I do not have any experience with Folly but I have a question- what is the name of the hotel that allows dogs on Folly? FYI- we have been to HH several times and rented condos thru VRBO and taken our dog. If you decide on HH you will enjoy the many bike paths all over the island and the beaches are beautiful.

tngiants: Never been to Folly Beach. LOVE Hilton Head. The Westin Resort and Hilton Oceanfront also both allow dogs. You can get a good rate through hotwire on both of these.

The beaches are gorgeous on HHI. We particularly love the Hilton Oceanfront, but the other poster%26#39;s suggestion of a private rental is a good one. Many private renters allow dogs, just look for the paw print on the site the poster mentioned.

The Hotel in Folly is the Holiday Inn Charleston on the Beach. I didn%26#39;t realize the Hilton Oceanfront allowed pets.
