restaurant question

Will be in Charleston October 17-20. Looking for nice, romantic restaurants for ';special'; dinners..... looking at Charleston Grill, Peninsula Grill, 82 Queen, Mistral and Circa 1884. Any insights to help narrow down choices would be greatly appreciated. Also, if I missed any worthy choices, please advise.

Thanks!

restaurant question

My estimated ranking from least expensive to most expensive, on average:

Mistral, 82 Queen, Circa 1884, Peninsula Grill, Charleston Grill

SNOB is also popular...

Personally I like restaurants that have live jazz, but some people absolutely abhor that (I overheard a group of people at dinner the other night saying they hate jazz and definitely hate it at dinner!)

Enjoy!

restaurant question

Thanks Culture. I also noticed Circa and 82 Queen did not have favorable reviews on TA. I did notice SNOB....seems a little more ';casual';, which is fine for maybe a 3rd night. I just wanted something with a little more ';wow'; factor....a little more like a Ruth%26#39;s Cris, Smith and Wolinsky%26#39;s or a Emirel%26#39;s, I%26#39;m thinking the live jazz might be a nice treat!!!

I%26#39;ve only had good experiences at 82 Queen. I would recommend dining there when the weather is nice and you can get a table outside (in the evening).
