Too far?

My husband and I are spending one week in the Carolinas. We are coming into Charlotte and then going directly to Asheville for 3 days. I really wanted to see Charleston and we were thinking from Asheville going there? How far would that be? Also a good recommendation for a B@B would be appreciated. thanks mary

Too far?

Too far?

Very easy drive - I%26#39;m doing it myself in the next month or so.

As far as a B%26amp;B - what is your price range? amenities list? How historic do you want it? Thanks.

Also - if you click on ';Map'; and select B%26amp;B%26#39;s, you can get a good idea of what we have; then narrow it down and give us your ';top 3'; and we can comment.

(Our B%26amp;B%26#39;s range greatly in price)

As the Hound barked, Asheville to Charleston is the easiest drive you could ask for. We visited there last week and it is so beautiful up there right now.

BEWARE - If you are going soon, make sure that they have gas in the area. Nearly every station in western NC had no gas, and the ones that did had lines 60 cars deep.

Thanks for the info, especially about the gas. I am thinking that historic Charleston would be a good place to stay? and our price range would be no more than 250.00 a night. A place not too frilly but clean

with easy parking. Thanks this is my first time using the forum and its great!!! mary

Hi Mary - there is plenty of gas in Charleston. It would be a good idea to check the website www.gasbuddy.com to see what the availability of gas is if you%26#39;re going soon. The presumed ';shortage'; (I personally think it%26#39;s a scam) shouldn%26#39;t last long but it%26#39;s worth checking anyway. Our lowest gas is $3.59 according to that site.

Good luck! $250 is doable.
