Waterfront Dining

I%26#39;ve never been to HHI, So, are there Any Waterfront restaurants on the island? Tiki Bars? Outdoors Dining?

And what is the weather usually like around Thanksgiving?

Waterfront Dining

Others will chime in here, but this is my take of some of the best that immediately come to mind:

Waterfront -

Old Fort Pub

Sunset Grille

Boathouse Restaurant

Tiki bars -

There is THE tiki bar at the Holiday Inn at Forest Beach

Outdoors dining -

Sante Fe Cafe

Riviera Oaks Cafe http://www.rivieraoakscafeofhiltonhead.com

Check out that web page - this is a new restaurant folks, and perhaps one of the best combinations of romantic environment and great food, based on the legacy of the owner/head chef. (I have not eaten there yet)

The weather at Thanksgiving is wonderful! Have fun.

Waterfront Dining

Oops, I forgot Charley%26#39;s Crab as another favorite, waterfront.

Actually, at least at Charley%26#39;s Crab and Old Fort Pub you could kill two birds - outside and waterfront.

It can be cool at Thanksgiving, as that is about the time as we start to experience change of season.

Boathouse also has outdoor dining. Not mentioned was the Crazy Crab on the north end, and Alexanders in PD.

Scotts, San Miguels, and Ocean Grill in Shelter Cove all have great water views of the marina area. Scotts and San Miguel have outdoor dining.

Alright, I need to correct myself on Riviera Oaks Cafe above. It appears to be designed to look like an outdoor Riviera cafe, but doesn%26#39;t actually have an outdoors as far as I can tell.

Chef Olivier Allain, of French and Spanish decent, who has international culinary training, moved to Hilton Head from France near Cannes 13 years ago. He had previously owned Oliviers on the island, but closed it in 2006. On my list to try out!
