Well, it is official. We have eliminated Ocean City, MD and are heading back to Myrtle Beach Resort next year for vacation. I always wanted to go back to MB next year. I thought the kids would pick Ocean City because we have never been there before. To my surprise, they wanted to go back to MB. There is still so much there for us to do that we did not get to this past summer. Who knows, maybe we will become addicted to MB and make it a yearly event.
Heading Back to MB in August 2009I said the same thing and now we%26#39;ve gone 4 straight years! We%26#39;re getting addicted too. Our 1st year there we tried to do so much but now we just pick something different each year that we did not see the year before. This way you can enjoy yourself more and get some r%26amp;r too!
Heading Back to MB in August 2009This past year we visited Broadway at the Beach, did the aquarium and then another day we went to Wild Water and Wheels. This year I want to see Le Grande Cirque and then maybe Alligator Alley. We like to spend most of our time at the beach/pools.
The first year we went was horrible! Stopped on our way home from Disney World, there was a tropical storm, and my husband got the flu! This was our 14th year going back in a row and we have already booked for next year! My kids are grown now - in their early 20%26#39;s - but they still come back with us every year! When they were younger they picked Myrtle Beach over Disney World!
Very exciting for you!! This past summer was our first family beach trip to MB, and like you we%26#39;re thinking we%26#39;ll make it an annual event. We have even tossed around buying a timeshare there (with Marriott), but we%26#39;ll see....at any rate, glad you are heading back!!
NJ, Try a dolphin cruise next year. My kids are still talking about it. They really loved it!!! I think you just can%26#39;t beat MBR for staying on proprty and pleasing everyone. There is so much to do. Good for you guys for choosing already. I%26#39;m not sure we will have the luxury of vacation next year. Too early to tell.
Luckily for our family, we have found a very nice condo at a great price in a great resort. Otherwise, vacation may not be in the cards for us next year. With our dwindlying 401(k)%26#39;s, we are gonna have to make up the losses from our salaries. We did consider OC, MD next year, but it is a lot more expensive there then MB.
