Hi!
Thinking of going to Charleston for Thanksgiving and I%26#39;ve found a flight from Milwaukee to Charleston thru Atlanta with Delta. Has anyone had experience with this flight? I%26#39;m wondering about flight quality, delays and connections thru Hartsfield.
Thank you.
Milwaukee to Charleston on Delta
We frequently fly Delta to CHS from LGA (New York) with a change in Atlanta. Delta is no better or worse than any of the other major US carriers. Check for the new charges for checked baggage.
Atlanta Hartsfield is Delta%26#39;s hub, so they have lots of equipment, services, etc., on the ground there. Like all of the huge airports, Hartsfield will be extremely busy just before Thanksgiving; however, you should have no problem.

Thank you for your thoughts.
Can%26#39;t make up my mind between flying out of Milwaukee or Chicago. There is a direct flight from Chicago to Charleston but for me it%26#39;s a 2 hour trip to Chicago and fare is $479 vs. $306.
Maybe I%26#39;ll take an early flight out of Milwaukee so if there are delays I can still arrive at a reasonable time.
O%26#39;Hare can be HORRIBLE in late November. Fly from Milwaukee. At least, if there are big weather issues, you are close to home and won%26#39;t get stuck sleeping in the airport. It is unlikely that Atlanta will have the same weather issues that northern airports have.
Good point about November weather - I%26#39;ll probably go out of Milwaukee.
I%26#39;ve flown into and out of a lot of airports in my life and by far love the Atlanta airport (for a giant-sized airport) and most of the Southeast%26#39;s smaller airports (CHS, SAV, Brunswick, Melbourne). I%26#39;d definitely go with Atlanta. Don%26#39;t be intimidated by its size - it%26#39;s VERY well organized, marked, and staffed. Tons of things to do if your layover is long.
