We just returned from a week at the Sand Dunes Hotel on 74th nmb. It was a great experience. The restaurants for breakfast was a nice buffet, or you could order special things. The dinner we ate there was also very good. It was clean in the room, but some of the outside carpets needed to be swept for most of the week, with sand on it a lot of places. I did not see one bug in the room. I had read somewhere on this site that someone had roaches in their room, but we did not even have an ant. We were on the 5th floor, maybe that makes a difference. Anyhow, I think this is a nice hotel for couples or families, as they have 2 pools inside 2 outside and a lazy river. They also had a work out room that was pretty nice.
Coming out of mb was interesting as Ike seemed to help the oil companies jack their prices. They went up 40 cents in one day. As we reluctantly proceeded home to PA, we found the prices to be much more conservative when we got out of the by area. I think people were afraid to wait until they got out, in case they couldn%26#39;t get gas and couldn%26#39;t get home.
