Insects

Hi

Staying at Disney Hilton Head next March and wondered if there%26#39;s any nasty bitey insects around then. Wife had a lot of bother with no-see-ums when we stayed at Vero Beach once.

Many thanks

dicanio: We spent last March Break in Shipyard Plantation and we were not bothered by insects at all. Don%26#39;t know if that is usual not. We spent the entire week outside either biking, walking the beach or golfing. We tend to go to Hilton Head in December and March and have never been bothered.

Living up north in cottage country here in Canada, we know insects! It seems like our mosquitos this year were the size of dragonflys.

Perhaps someone who lives there can help you with the question more specifically. Most people who have posted about insects have said they are bad in the summer there.

Insects

The no%26#39;seeums tend to live in areas where there is a lot of pine straw.

You don%26#39;t get bothered if you stay away from those areas. They also don%26#39;t seem to stray out if there is a breeze.

They are around at the end of March.

Thanks D, thanks Stan,

I%26#39;ll make sure she stays away from pine straw! Doesn%26#39;t sound as if they will be as bad as Vero Beach.

Mossies the size of dragonflies?! Don%26#39;t like the sound of that!

Thanks

Andy

How are insects in mid October?

tngiants:

I would think most of them are healthy. A few may be getting the sniffles like most of us. It%26#39;s been hard getting the word out about the ';flew'; shot.

So nice of you to ask. lol

I couldn%26#39;t help myself! When I saw you asking how the insects are in October, that is.

Just a little humour.
