Where to have a wedding

So we were thinking of having our wedding in seabrook on th ebeach or near the beach, ideally we would like to rent a large vacation home with a large yard something large enough to host a small reception...i want a quite private place...even a resort that has a quiet peceful feel beach and grass.. Anyone have any ideas. Thx

You may be out of luck at Seabrook Island...at least for a year or so. The club is tearing down its beach front building this fall (to build a new one).

Could you give some specifics? What time of year (most homes rent only by the week during the summer and certain times of the year)? How many people will be involved/invited?

A couple of things I would recommend: hire a wedding planner and make sure to get insurance. I just read of a wedding scheduled for the club at SI that had to be moved due to Hurricane Hanna (the club was in hurricane prep mode--boarding up and securing things).

Kiawahvilla should be able to offer some good ideas. I believe her daughter recently was married in the Charleston area (if not on Kiawah).
